2026 marks Zaman's 30th anniversary and 3 decades of creating hope for humanity together. From our grassroots beginnings in 1996 to now, our organization has reached over 500,000 individuals in Southeast Michigan and over 5 million globally with essential needs and life-changing services. In honor of 30 years of service, we offer the following 30 ways for you to get involved and help us reach even more families in need in the future.
Donate
1. Make a one-time donation to support Zaman's mission.
2. Make a recurring donation to help sustain Zaman's programs with lasting impact.
3. Ask your employer about donation matching: Many companies offer donation matching to multiply your giving impact. Ask your supervisor or HR department if your company offers a matching program.
Get Out & Get Involved
4. Volunteer at the Hope for Humanity Center: Weekly volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year.
5. If you are a healthcare professional, volunteer at Zaman's Community Health Center: We are always seeking additional providers to help ensure our clients have equitable access to quality care.
6. Join us for Wednesday Lunch: Each week, our culinary arts training kitchen offers a delicious rotating menu, open from 12 - 2 pm.
7. Attend a Zaman Community Event: We look forward to hosting you and your friends and family at our three signature events — our Community Iftar Dinner, Mother's Day Brunch (women only), and Run Walk Picnic.

Make an Impact from Anywhere
10. Share a post from Zaman's social media to help spread awareness about our mission.

Follow and support Zaman's entrepreneurship graduates: Help graduates' new businesses thrive by following them on social media or and placing an order for anything from baked goods to custom embroidery. See this post for some recent graduates and keep following to see the latest businesses born from Zaman's vocational training programs.
12. Start your own peer-to-peer fundraiser: Create your own fundraiser and rally your follwing to support Zaman on Instagram or Facebook.
13. Shop Zaman Merchandise and support our mission in style!
14. Purchase Lyft or Uber gift cards: A simple rideshare gift card can make a big difference and help our clients reach the Hope for Humanity Center. Gift cards can be donated in-person or mailed to the Hope for Humanity Center at 26091 Trowbridge St., Inkster, MI 48141.
Support Zaman's Social Enterprises
15. Shop the Good Deeds Resale Shop: Our Charity thrift store provides clothing and home goods at no cost to our clients, and it's also open to the public Monday - Friday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. Good Deeds is located in the Hope for Humanity Center.
16. Donate your new or gently used items to Good Deeds: Clothing and shoes can be donated to Good Deeds at any one of our dozens of donation bins, or drop them off along with home goods at the Hope for Humanity Center.
17. Treat yourself to some delicious Rising Hope Bakery cookies!
18. Order Rising Hope Bakery seasonal specials or signature cookies for a friend: Shipping is available anywhere in the U.S., so you can send sweet treats that support our mission far and wide!
19. Purchase a Rising Hope Bakery gift card for a special someone's birthday, graduation, or just because you care and let them choose their favorite treat.
20. Hire Stitch Lab for tailoring and alterations: Stitch Lab allows our vocational sewing students to gain practical experience with the guidance of our expert sewing instructors. Complete an inquiry form to get started.
21. Work with Stitch Lab to make your creative textile dream a reality: our team is skilled in pattern making and product development, so Stitch Lab can help create your custom garment or textile accessory. Complete an inquiry form to get started.
Do Good With Your Community
22. Host a community food drive: Please note, we are currently not accepting canned goods, and please do not donate glass containers, homemade, oversized, or expired items. Some of our most needed items include cereals, cooking oil, oats, peanut butter, flour, and sugar. To plan your drive, contact Jordan Pawl at jpawl@zamaninternational.org.
23. Host a hygiene drive: Personal hygiene items help our client families stay safe and healthy. Some items you can collect include unused hand soap, toiletries, lotion, deodorant, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. To plan your drive, contact Jordan Pawl at jpawl@zamaninternational.org.
24. Host a cleaning supplies drive: Just like hygiene, sanitation is important for ensuring families we serve stay safe and healthy. Some items you can collect include unused dish soap, towels, multi-purpose cleaner, sponges, and scrub brushes. To plan your drive, contact Jordan Pawl at jpawl@zamaninternational.org.
25. Host a community baby shower: To help our families with little ones, some items you can collect include unused diapers, baby clothes, baby wipes, and baby powder. 26. Host a winter gear drive: Winter gear helps families in need stay safe and warm throughout the cold months. You can help by collecting winter coats, socks, hats, and gloves with your community group. To plan your drive, contact Jordan Pawl at jpawl@zamaninternational.org.
27. Host a clothing drive: Client families come in all shapes and sizes, but we are most in need of girls' pajamas, unused undergarments, baby clothes, and young men's clothing. To plan your drive, contact Jordan Pawl at jpawl@zamaninternational.org.
28. Donate a raffle basket with your community group: Each year at two of our community events, we host a fundraising raffle. All proceeds support Zaman's mission, and a basket donation provides your organization with a special way to support Zaman while showing up in the community. 29. Organize a community event fundraiser: Your school, place of worship, or community organization can get creative with a fundraising event that suits your group! Host a chili cookoff, a sports tournament, or film screening to benefit Zaman and help us celebrate 30 years of service in our shared communities. Volunteer with Zaman's Entrepreneurship Program: As a business owner, you can share your insight and experience to help enrich our entrepreneurship students' experience. You can help by bringing your expertise to a guest lecture, hosting our current cohort for a field trip to your business, or judging our annual pitch competition.
