Summer Food Program
Meet Up & Eat Up Summer Food Program
In partnership with the U.S. Department of Education, the USDA, United Way for Southeastern Michigan, and Islamic Relief USA, the Meet Up & Eat Up Summer Food is a federally funded program that provides healthy meals for children, 18 years old and younger, from low-income families during the summer months.
The meals are prepared by Zaman's culinary team in a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen at the Hope for Humanity Center. Food distribution occurs at Zaman's headquarters via a drive through service or at various locations within a 20-mile radius such as community centers and churches.
